On the 5th, the renowned British art magazine ArtReview unveiled its ‘2024 Power 100’ list. Since 2002, the annual ‘Power 100’ has involved experts from around the globe in an in-depth and comprehensive evaluation to select 100 individuals who have made significant contributions to the global art and cultural scene through their activities and influence.

Haegue Yang, an artist active on the international art stage, is participating in the Performa Biennial, taking place in various venues across New York City from November 1 to 19, 2023. Founded in 2004 by art historian and curator RoseLee Goldberg, Performa is a non-profit organization that presents new forms of art within the context of performance.

Artist_Global K-Art Solo Exhibition of Artist Yun Hyong-keun at Hastings Contemporary in the UK
Hastings Contemporary, an art museum located on the coast of the UK, is presenting the works of Yun Hyong-keun (1928–2007), one of the masters of Korean Dansaekhwa painting, from June 1 to October 1, 2023. This is the first time Yun’s solo exhibition has been held in the UK.

Celebrating its 40th edition this year, EVA International is the Ireland Biennial of contemporary art. The event is scheduled to take place from August 31 to October 29, 2023. This year’s EVA International will feature artworks, events, and performances from more than 50 Irish and international artists across 17 venues.

Na Mira, a Korean-American artist born in 1982, has focused on exploring the archive and creative works of the late artist Theresa Hak Kyung Cha (1951-1982). Na has engaged in various such projects over the past few years, including the video installation work Night Vision exhibited at the 2022 Whitney Biennial.

Artist_Global K-Art Media Artist Kim Ayoung Wins the Golden Nica of the Prix Ars Electronica
Kim Ayoung’s artwork titled Delivery Dancer’s Sphere earned the top prize, the Golden Nica, in the category of New Animation Art at Austria’s Prix Ars Electronica on June 12, the world’s longest-running media art competition. The piece, chosen among 1,116 works from around the globe, had previously been featured in a solo exhibition at the Gallery Hyundai in August 2022.

Museum_Global K-Art What It Means to Have A Curatorship for Korean Art at The Met
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), one of the world’s top five museums, has established a dedicated curator position for Korean art. Supported by the Korea Foundation (KF) and the Samsung Cultural Foundation, this marks its first permanent role for a Korean art curator at an overseas art institution. Eleanor Soo-ah Hyun, also known as Hyun Soo-ah in Korea, has been appointed as the first Korean art curator at The Met.
