Through her paintings, which depict the discrepancies in time and sensation caused by screens, Heemin Chung addresses issues of self-identity in today’s technology-mediated society and the impact of digital culture.
Chung is the newest artist to be represented by the international gallery Thaddeus Ropac during Frieze Seoul.
As a media artist, Sungseok Ahn explores games and virtual reality as memory devices to observe and preserve reality, primarily using digital images and videos. Through his work, he seeks to reconstruct the layers of existence that have been blurred by contemporary anxieties and crises.
