On the 5th, the renowned British art magazine ArtReview unveiled its ‘2024 Power 100’ list. Since 2002, the annual ‘Power 100’ has involved experts from around the globe in an in-depth and comprehensive evaluation to select 100 individuals who have made significant contributions to the global art and cultural scene through their activities and influence.

Artist_News Ik-Joong Kang’s Large-scale Installation ‘Four Temples’ to Be Displayed in Front of the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt
Ik-Joong Kang, a representative Korean installation artist, has been invited as the first Korean artist to participate in “FIN: Forever Is Now”, the annual international art exhibition. In response, Kang will present his new large-scale installation work, Four Temples (2024), in front of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pyramids of Giza, from October 24 to November 16.
Artist_Global K-Art Aritst Haegue Yang Has Participated in Two Projects at Benesse Art Site Naoshima
The 13th Benesse Prize winner, Haegue Yang, is featured in a group exhibition at the Benesse House Museum of Art in Naoshima, Kagawa Prefecture. Celebrating the partnership between Benesse Holdings Inc. and the Singapore Art Museum, which began in 2016 and runs through 2022, the exhibition will feature works by Yang, as well as previous Benesse Prize winners Pannaphan Yodmanee, Zul Mahmod, Amanda Heng, and others, from June 15 through January 5 next year.

Museum_Global K-Art What It Means to Have A Curatorship for Korean Art at The Met
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), one of the world’s top five museums, has established a dedicated curator position for Korean art. Supported by the Korea Foundation (KF) and the Samsung Cultural Foundation, this marks its first permanent role for a Korean art curator at an overseas art institution. Eleanor Soo-ah Hyun, also known as Hyun Soo-ah in Korea, has been appointed as the first Korean art curator at The Met.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MCST), together with the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS), will host the Korean media art exhibition “Decoding Korea (La Corée Decodée)” at the Grand Palais Immersif in Paris from July 26 to August 25 during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
