Special Program

During the 'Art Tour Week' from September 1 to September 11, 16 courses will be offered in seven regions across the country, including Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Gwangju, Daegu, Busan, and Jeju, where visitors can travel to local museums and galleries with expert guides.

In particular, there will be specialized courses for the Gwangju and Busan Biennale, the main events of the Korea Art Festival, to enhance the connection with the biennale and provide visitors with enriching viewing opportunities. The 'Art Tour Week' will be available for reservation from August 19 at 10 a.m. and can be booked through the official website of the Korea Art Festival. The participation fee is 5,000 KRW per person.

From September 1-8, "Dive into Korean Art: Seoul 2024," a promotional event to introduce Korean artists to the international art world, will also be held. Twelve key figures from the overseas art world, including overseas museum directors, curators, and art journalists, will be invited to introduce nine teams of emerging and mid-career Korean artists, and to visit the artists' studios to enhance their understanding of Korean artists.

From September 5 to 7, “Kiaf SEOUL X KAMS X Frieze Seoul,” a conference jointly co-hosted by Kiaf Seoul, Korea Arts Management Service, and Frieze Seoul, will be held at COEX (Studio 159) in Seoul. With 36 domestic and foreign art officials participating, the conference will be divided into nine divisions to discuss various tasks, including the interaction between art and society, the role of biennales in shaping contemporary art museums and markets, and the collaboration between galleries and non-profit organizations. The conference is open to the public without registration.
