From June 30 to July 2, The Shilla Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Seoul will host the hotel art fair “The Grand International Art Fair 2023” (hereinafter referred to as THE GIAF).
The fair will feature 68 domestic and international galleries, exhibiting more than 1,800 works by 300 artists, and will occupy 67 rooms. It will be ‘co-organized’ with Herald Media Group to commemorate the 70th anniversary of The Korea Herald, and is expected to grow into the largest hotel art fair in East Asia through this collaboration.
The works are more small and medium-sized than large-scale works due to the nature of the hotel space, but you can find the latest trends in art with refinement and dignity as they are displayed in the hotel. In addition, consultations between collectors and gallerists are held in an isolated space, which is expected to increase collectors’ satisfaction through in-depth communication and information exchange.
