Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that ‘2nd Seoul Art Week’ will be held from September 2 to 8, in conjunction with Frieze and Kiaf Seoul. During this period, over 100 galleries, art museums, and outdoor venues across the city will host various exhibitions and cultural events, turning Seoul into a citywide art festival.
 
1st Seoul Sculpture Festival: 9.2 – 9.8 (Open Songhyeon Green Plaza)
The main event of this year's Seoul Art Week, the "1st Seoul Sculpture Festival," will take place at the Open Songhyeon Green Plaza from September 2 to 8. The exhibition will feature ten winning works from the "1st Seoul Sculpture Prize" along with special pieces invited by Jee Young Maeng, the art director of "2024 Sculpture City, Seoul." Special Exhibitions and Events Linked with Seoul Art Museums and Galleries
During Seoul Art Week, Seoul's major public art institutions, including the Seoul Museum of Art and the Seoul Museum of Craft Art, will host special exhibitions and international seminars in conjunction with the event. Additionally, large-scale events such as “Seoul Light DDP 2024 Autumn” (Aug 29 - Sep 8, DDP) and “Seoul Fashion Week” (Sep 3 - Sep 7, DDP) will take place, further enhancing the festive atmosphere throughout the city.
 
Seoul Artist Residency Studio Visit Program
The "Studio Visit Program" will invite international art experts to visit the studios of 52 artists residing in Seoul’s municipal residencies. Participating artists include those from Geumcheon Art Factory (16 artists, Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture) and Sindang Creative Arcade (36 artists, Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture). This initiative aims to support artists' international opportunities and global networking.
