The artist’s depiction of the study appears to be a physically limited space, but the inherent conceptual world is infinitely expanding. 〈Library-Paradise〉 features a solitary figure with books with a smooth plastic-like texture on a seemingly enclosed shelf. The books around the figure look as if they are about to spill over, and the expression of the figure in the narrow bookcase looks somewhat uneasy, contrary to the title of the work, ‘paradise’. Unlike the trapped figure below, the pigeons, a symbol of peace, seem to be flying freely from high above and enjoying ‘paradise’.
