Art Busan, one of Korea’s leading international art fairs, is celebrating its 13th edition this year. Art Busan 2024 will be held at BEXCO Busan from May 9 through May 12, starting with a preview on May 9.
More than 130 galleries from 20 countries around the world will participate in Art Busan 2024. Leading Korean galleries such as Gana Art, Johyun Gallery, PKM Gallery, Kukje Gallery, Hakgojae, and Duson Gallery, as well as international galleries such as Peres Projects, Tang Contemporary Art, Whitestone Gallery, and Pearl Lam Galleries will meet with Korean collectors.
In addition, the FUTURE section will showcase novel artworks by promising emerging galleries and young artists. The FUTURE section is Art Busan’s unique support program for emerging galleries, giving them the opportunity to connect with collectors and discover and highlight promising young artists. This year, nine galleries have been selected to exhibit at the booth, including Prompt Project, Pageroom8, Gallery Unplugged, and PUSHTOENTER.
Art Busan 2024 will present art lovers with a variety of programs, including CONNECT, a special exhibition that breaks away from the restrictions of existing art fairs and delivers diversity of exhibitions; CONVERSATIONS, which delivers in-depth insights from art world experts; and Busan Art Week, which features Busan’s cultural and artistic spaces and local brands.
A limited number of early bird tickets, which can be purchased at a discounted rate, will be available for sale on March 18 via Naver and 29CM. There are four types of tickets: 1 DAY, 2 DAYS, PREVIEW, and Collectors Pass.
