WWNN presents a solo exhibition by Meekyoung Shin, “Chronicles of Collapse”, on view through October 27.

Shin has long been recognized for reinterpreting cultural objects—both Eastern and Western—through the medium of soap, exploring material and conceptual conditions in the process. However, WWNN takes a slightly different approach in viewing her work. The exhibition explores the cyclical themes of creation, destruction, and rebirth through Shin's work, focusing on the value and regenerative possibilities found within them.

The exhibition “Chronicles of Collapse” traces these cyclical themes and the temporal evolution of Shin's practice. The exhibition includes the artist's Painting Series from 2014, soap sculptures Translation Series and Weathering Project from the early 2000s, and ceramic works Megalith Series that have rarely been shown in Korea.
