Leeum
Museum of Art will present the 2024 Art Spectrum “Dream Screen” in the Black
Box and Ground Gallery spaces from September 5 to December 29, coinciding with
Frieze Week.
Art Spectrum,
which has been operating for 20 years as a program to nurture emerging Korean
artists, returns this year with a renewed vision. 2024 Art Spectrum will move
away from a prize system centered on emerging Korean artists and expand its
spectrum to embrace the contemporary art scene in Asia.
Curated by
Rirkrit Tiravanija, 2024 Art Spectrum “Dream Screen” takes as its starting
point the states that artists belonging to the millennial and post-millennial
generation have developed a different sense of the physical world while living
in an era where experiences through screens such as the Internet, games, and
movies have become commonplace.

The 26 participating artists/teams in this exhibition are based in Asian cultures, including artists from Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, China, Vietnam, Japan, Myanmar, etc. Conceived as intricate pathways through multifold rooms, the exhibition aims to focus on singular artistic practices of each participating artist installed in each room.
